Corinne Cantwell Heggie Pioneers Diversity & Inclusion CLE with Bar Groups and AllianceBernstein

On June 20, 2019, the Corinne Cantwell Heggie on behalf of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois, and the Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago presented a panel on laws affecting the transgender population in the workplace. Panelists included Vanessa Sheridan, an author and the director of gender, equity and inclusion at the Center on Halsted and Jill Rose Quinn, the first openly transgender judicial candidate in Illinois. Franco S. La Marca, a financial advisor at AllianceBernstein, WBAI’s diversity chair and LAGBAC member. The luncheon was the first transgender-focused event ever approved for CLE credit by the Illinois Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission, according to WBAI President’s Corinne Cantwell Heggie.
